It's an exciting time to join our Network Reliability Team stepping into the role of Network Reliability Engineer starting with us January 2025 . This position would suit a junior engineer (Up to 5 years' experience), electrical graduate or someone with an electrical trade qualification looking for an engineer development opportunity.
The Network Reliability teams' core focus is to promote continuous improvement of asset reliability and performance throughout both our network and organisation and is one of the primary feedback loops for our asset management function. This means fully understanding how the network is performing, why it is performing that way, and being across the details. This role also leads the resolution of voltage complaints, listening to our customers concerns and working with the team to identify and deliver the optimal solution.
This position is intended to be a fantastic development role for an engineer looking to rapidly build distribution network experience, due to the opportunities this role has and has ability to get involved with all kinds of other teams from all across the business. Aside from reliability, this may lead to future prospects throughout the company – the opportunities are endless.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
A keen interest in the distribution of electricity/energy networks – a must!
Hold relevant qualification(s) in electricity supply or electrical engineering
Strong communication skills and ability to influence internally and externally
Bring a result orientated approach and take personal accountability for meeting deliverables
Have a numerate and analytical mindset, methodical and able to make sound decisions based on facts and analysis
Good computer skills, particularly using spreadsheets and using functions to analyse data.
A strong drive to make things better, and look for opportunities to improve current state
Capability to work in a rapidly changing and evolving industry
Some relevant experience in the electricity distribution industry and understanding of relevant electrical legislation, regulations and industry rules relating to electricity supply are preferable
