You'll provide technical input into network design and architecture improvements and perform daily network operation activities.You'll work as part of a technical team involved in the administration, configuration and troubleshooting of the University's voice and data networks. The role includes all the usual network administration and support responsibilities across configuration, availability, traffic and network management platforms, switching, firewalls, incidence response, change, implementation and design and much more.This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), the regular hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday including an hour for lunch, based on our Hillcrest Campus. The role is also part of a 24/7 on-call roster which is paid on a per-day allowance of $46.49.Salary will be in the range of $96,956 to $107,177 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. You'll bring your experience of managing networks and proactively developing improvements and projects, including work packages.You will have a strong background in Arista, Cisco, or similar network technologies, experience in supporting and administering large network environments and a solid understanding of ICT infrastructure.You will be customer focused and have strong interpersonal skills that will enable you to work collaboratively with technical specialists (internal teams and external partners) to ensure the robustness, reliability and security of our extensive network infrastructure.Successful experience in managing a secure network fabric and planning and managing small network projects is essential for this role.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of people is essential in our multi-customer environment.
