You'll join a close-knit team that values supporting each other and putting safety first. This role offers the unique chance to work across multiple Hydro Power stations on the Waikato River, with opportunities to gain exposure to Geothermal power stations. You'll have the opportunity to share your expertise and skills with others and carry out routine maintenance to ensure our units consistently generate electricity to meet demand. Work alongside passionate colleagues and be provided with all the necessary tools and equipment to excel in your role.
This role supports our Maraetai and Waipapa Hydro Generation sites, close to Tokoroa and Mangakino.
Key responsibilities include:Execution of scheduled planned maintenanceIdentify, share, and implement continuous improvement initiativesCollect and document plant performance and maintenance historyChampion a world-class attitude to health and safety managementWe are looking for:Electrical Registration and current Practicing Licence are essentialExperience in electrical maintenance within a power generation environment is a strong advantageExperience in plant operations, process control, or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy process industryUnderstanding and knowledge of business practices, including exposure to work controls (permit to work) and computerised maintenance management software (CMMS) an advantageMercury offers:Additional 5 days leave per annum (MyDays)$400 one-off tax-free payment towards setting up your home officeA diverse workplace where your unique abilities and talents will be recognised and encouragedAnnual salary reviews with excellent parental leave policy, with the option to purchase additional leaveThe opportunities, career paths, and facilities associated with working for one of New Zealand's largest energy providersDiscounted health insurance and free life and income insuranceExcellent well-being programme including up to $100 annual check-upsMercury is a learning organisation that is committed to providing you with opportunities to grow and develop that will benefit you now and in the future.
