If you're ready to work with world-class brands like Daiwa, Coleman, Wilson, and MGI, and you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you!About the RoleAs the Merchandise Planner – Outdoor and Ball Sports Division, you will take ownership of product assortment, inventory management, and sales forecasting for exciting categories like fishing, camping, golf, tennis, and other ball sports. You'll be responsible for driving product strategies, working closely with suppliers, and ensuring our stock levels meet customer demand while keeping our product offerings competitive in the market.This role is full-time and based at our Parnell office; however, we offer flexible working hours between 7am and 6pm. You can choose when to work your 8 hours within that time frame, allowing you to tailor your schedule to suit your lifestyle.Key Responsibilities:Product Assortment Planning: Assist brand managers to develop and execute product strategies across fishing, camping, golf, tennis, and ball sports categories.Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensure timely product replenishment, and minimise stock-outs and overstock situations.Sales and Stock Forecasting: Lead the sales and stock forecasting process, working closely with sales and finance teams to predict future product demand and align it with inventory planning.Product Life Cycle: Oversee product life cycle across the ball and outdoor division from product creation to sell-through analysis, including code creation, product admin and maintenance, and create purchase orders.Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely product availability.Data Analysis: Utilise sales data and market trends to make recommendations to the brand managers on product assortment and inventory levels.Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align on sales forecasts, promotional strategies, and product launches.Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on inventory status, sales performance, and forecast accuracy.What You'll BringProven experience in merchandise planning or a similar role, ideally within sporting goods or outdoor retail.A strong understanding of fishing, camping, golf, tennis, and ball sports categories.Expertise in inventory management and sales forecasting.Proficiency in merchandising tools, Excel, and ERP systems.Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret sales data and market trends.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration.A passion for sports and outdoor activities is highly desirable!Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Why Join Us?At Brittain Wynyard & Co, we believe in creating a positive and collaborative work environment where our team can thrive.
