Job Description As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our product assortment and inventory management strategies, delivering to our customers the best value range while maximising our return on investment.
This will be across our Home Furnishings category.
Leverage your expertise in merchandise planning to drive data-driven decisions and maximise profitability.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend analytical rigor with a passion for innovation in a fast-paced retail environment.
With strong financial acumen, assortment building skills and a real commercial mindset, you'll work collaboratively to drive optimisation and manage the product lifecycle process, whilst being consistently on top of trends and performance.
Key responsibilities include: Working with the Buyers on a range of assortment plans, controlling markdowns and category spend Setting budgets and reviewing forward plans Analysing product performance trends and making recommendations for improvement Improving stock-flow & product lifecycle management maximising our Stock ROI Demand planning/forecasting – includes impacts of promotional activity Interpreting data into a clear narrative & actionable outcomes – story telling Communicating data and strategy to key stakeholders Qualifications You understand retail and merchandise planning; you always have customers front of mind and can interpret data into stories, translating customer mission strategies into actionable decisions that deliver results.
