Dogs NZ is the largest organisation of dog owners in New Zealand, with a strong focus on healthy, active, well-mannered dogs and responsible dog ownership.
Their ten-year strategy is focused on delivering value to members and supporting and empowering their national network of clubs. These are strategic priorities that the newly created Membership & Club Development Manager position will directly contribute to.
Reporting to the Director Secretary, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new programs that support the growth of their membership and strengthen their clubs, as well as ensuring they receive the ongoing service and support they deserve.
Just some of the key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing strategies for proactive membership recruitment and retention, including developing membership pathways which align with members' needs and interests.
Identifying and developing improvements to the processing of new membership/kennel name applications and renewal programs.
Maintenance of the Dogs NZ Membership Database and the dispatch of membership renewal invoices and reminders.
Servicing of the Club Show Schedule and judging appointments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety, challenge and breadth of responsibilities that come with working in not-for-profit/membership-based organisations.
It will draw on your previous experience in developing and implementing programmes to grow a membership or similar, and will provide the opportunity to take ownership, stamp your mark and play a pivotal role in growing and supporting Dogs NZ membership and their national network of clubs.
Person Profile:
Previous experience working within a membership context
Demonstrated track record of implementing growth programs, ideally within membership organisations
Proven experience developing robust systems and processes
Highly developed relationship building skills across a broad range of groups and individuals
Strong and effective communication skills
The ability to understand strategic linkages and translate through to operational level plans
