Manager, Strategy Policy and Ministerials at Land Information New Zealand, Wellington Join an exciting work programme and lead real change for Aotearoa Lead a progressive, results-focused policy team across a strategic and complex work programme Work closely with three other policy managers and our Head of Strategy, Policy and Ministerials Utilise your skills across a range of legislative, regulatory and operational reforms in areas such as Crown land, property rights, geographic and property information, and overseas investment. This role is Fixed Term until 30 June 2026 The salary range for this role, depending on experience, is $175,000 - $195,000 per annum, full-time. We are looking for an experienced, motivated policy manager who has demonstrated skills across large-scale legislative reforms, system engagement, and partnering with Maori to enable our ambitious programme to support the government's plan. This is a key leadership role in the Strategy, Policy and Ministerial function that is responsible for supporting our strategic direction and delivering on our policy work programme. You will work closely with the Head of Strategy, Policy and Ministerials and other policy Managers. Toitu Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand has an expanding and exciting policy programme that provides an opportunity to contribute to real change for Aotearoa New Zealand. We are currently working on a range of diverse policy matters including a review of the Public Works Act, afforestation opportunities on Crown land, fees and funding reviews across operational work areas and supporting a review of the Overseas Investment Act. We also lead on strategy including strategic intentions, long-term insights briefings and provide strategic support on budget. As a Manager - Strategy and Policy, you are accountable for leading the people and the work across your areas of responsibility. You ensure that there are clear priorities and deliverables aligned to our Kaupapa and work programme and empower your people to manage the delivery of their work in line with that direction. You will partner across the organisation and collaborate with agencies and ministers to understand current and future work and allocate resources to achieve this. Managing the work programme and resources of your team in line with government direction, organisational Kaupapa and strategic direction through active planning and prioritisation. Leading a culture of high performance within your team and organisation, and continuously looking for opportunities to iterate to improve services to communities and customers. Driving a commitment to the government's role as a Treaty Partner and ensuring a te ao Maori perspective is taken into account and shapes work and decisions. Working collectively and providing knowledge or insights to support or make decisions and mitigate risks to delivery. Maintaining active and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation and broader public service, in relation to your area of responsibility.
