About The opportunity | Ko te aheinga: Join our Asset Management team and lead the day-to-day operations of our region's vital infrastructure.
You'll manage flood control, drainage assets, pump stations and regional parks across Hawke's Bay, while leading a team of operational staff responsible for maintenance contracts and minor capital works.
This role offers the chance to contribute to capital and renewal strategy within the Regional Council, ensuring our assets are operated to the appropriate level of service as stated in Asset Management Plans.

Ideally candidates will have: A relevant Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field 10+ years of experience in engineering, local government, or utility organisations Proven project management skills and experience with NZ3910 or maintenance contracts Strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills Sound understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Resource Management Act, Local Government Act) What we offer | Nga huanga mou: The salary range for this role is between $137,610 - $152,900 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
