We invest over $3 billion annually in tertiary education and provide a publicly available careers information service that includes a database of information about occupations and tertiary education and training.Role Overview: Facilitate and strengthen the connections between schools, employers, and tertiary education organisations to ensure students are better prepared for employment and further education and training.The Manager - Products & Channels has a pivotal role in ensuring we meet our legislative requirements for careers services. This is a fixed-term role for at least 12 months through to January 2026 to cover parental leave. This is a strictly Wellington-based position.Directorate Overview: The Careers & Investment Design Directorate (CID) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives, and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.All teams in the directorate focus on work that develops, leads, or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives, and policies. They are responsible for developing interventions and plans based on those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve.The basis of our work is the horizontal work model, and so the CID teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates. The design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Careers & Investment Design, this is a T3 role responsible for managing TEC's Content teams and product owner roles, focusing on the design and content development of all TEC channels.Collaborate closely with the Engagement Group to ensure brand guidelines, key messages, and audience insights are applied consistently across channel design and content creation.Represent as Business Owner to different layers of governance such as ELT, Board, Steering Group, Working Group, ensuring concepts and options are communicated well for timely approvals.Enable resource/skill sharing, build a centre of expertise with consistent processes, and create a long-range plan for Tahatu Career Navigator and other TEC channels.Requirements:Leadership experience in product or web channel management.The ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues within and across different Directorates.Strong understanding of web development and how web channels are promoted and used by different audiences.Experience in creating a future roadmap of continuous development for Tahatu Career Navigator and Inspiring the Future (ItF).Experience in leading teams and developing a high-performance team culture.What's in it for you: Three additional TEC leave days, flexible working options, a wellness programme, and the ability to purchase extra leave.
