Salary range $151,774-$168,638 actual salary dependent on skills and experience

Mo tenei turanga - about the role
Reporting to the National Manager Fleet, you'll be responsible for ensuring our fleet portfolio operates within an asset management framework that provides the policies, systems and tools to plan for and manage our fleet assets wisely and safely for our front line firefighters.
Working closely with our Service Delivery directorates, this role is critical in all aspects of strategic fleet asset planning along with policy development, analysis and implementation to strengthen fleet performance in alignment with FENZ overall business objectives. You will also be leading the planning of work programmes that ensure that the fleet continues to meet Fire and Emergency's operational needs, meets agreed service levels and remains safe and legally compliant whilst managing the associated business and budget planning processes.

Aside from your experience in asset fleet management, you will also be able to demonstrate an ability to use your strategic thinking ability to plan for long term optimisation of fleet operations. Your commercial focus will enable you to develop asset management budgets, and asset business cases and strategies. Using your outstanding relationship and communication skills, you will be comfortable presenting plans and performance reports to the wider branch and executive leadership team, and working with users to understand and define their fleet user needs. You will be experienced in developing strategies, policies and plans to deliver required business outcomes. As a self-starter, you will be trusted to manage your own work in a professional manner at all times.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in an operational environment
Demonstrated asset management planning experience and development of long term budgets
Experience in developing organisational policies and strategies for an operational organisation
Experience in developing, costing and implementing operational strategies, ideally in fleet
Adept communication and influencing skills, including proven experience in writing strategic documents such as asset management plans, business cases and governance papers.
Self-motivation with strong time management skills
Adept at building collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
