Capstone Hotels & Resorts – Rotorua, North IslandCapstone Hotel and Resorts is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for 3 small properties in Rotorua. As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Lodge's maintenance. Working closely with all Lodge Managers to ensure the rooms and buildings are kept to a high standard, liaising with key tradesmen, and ensuring the Hotel operates smoothly with grounds and surrounds always looking neat and tidy.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all aspects of maintenance operations for the resort, ensuring the highest level of functionality, appearance, and safety.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential issues and maintain the property's facilities in excellent condition.Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and gardens, identifying maintenance needs and implementing timely and cost-effective solutions.Manage and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to guests and operations.Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in achieving maintenance objectives.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service contracts.Drive stock to and from designated areas.Assist with portering responsibilities.Assist with landscaping, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks to maintain a pristine appearance throughout the resort.Monitor expenses and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resources while maintaining high-quality standards.Stay up to date with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and facility management.Experience:Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role, preferably within a high-end resort or luxury property.Extensive knowledge of building systems, equipment, and facilities maintenance.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Flexibility and willingness to work in a remote location with a strong sense of responsibility.Must have a valid NZ driver's license.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices, ensuring compliance and a safe working environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff, suppliers, and guests.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.If you are interested in this opportunity and believe that you have what it takes to work in this fantastic location, please submit your application through to (emailprotected).
