Position: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Engineer to focus primarily on the maintenance and improvement of our on-site kilns and boilers, while also supporting the wider maintenance team in our sawmill and remanufacturing plant as required. Role Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on boilers and kilns.
Troubleshoot and repair issues with boiler and kiln systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
Assist with upgrades, installations, and improvements of kiln and boiler systems.
Provide general industrial engineering support across the sawmill and remanufacturing plant.
Welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required to support plant operations.
Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to improve operational efficiency and ensure minimal downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with specific expertise in maintaining and repairing boilers and kilns.
Strong skills in diagnostics, welding, machining, and general industrial maintenance.
A proactive, team-focused attitude with a desire to continuously improve.
Applicants must be currently residing in New Zealand and legally entitled to work.
Physically fit and able to work in a demanding industrial environment.
