Join PowerNet, the fourth-largest electricity network in New Zealand, as our Supply Electrician based at our Invercargill Depot.
In this full-time role, you will be a member of our technical team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and fault response work in and around the Southland region.
You will be part of a wider team of technicians, cable jointers, and electricians working together with a common goal to bring safe reliable power to our community.
About you, skills and experience: National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent Registered Electrician or Registered Cable Jointer with at least 3 years' experience in the electricity industry Current Class 1 Driver's license You may also have:
A heavy Traffic and Forklift license along with a Traffic Management STMS and Permit Holders certificate Computer literacy and an understanding of the basic Microsoft Office Suite of products. Ability to review, develop and implement changes with industry technology. Competent to carry out commissioning and maintenance tasks on electricity supply industry systems. A good level of written and oral communication skills with proven experience in writing reports on faults, maintenance, and commissioning of electricity supply industry equipment.
