About the Role - This is a busy full-time 40 hour per week position, working Monday to Friday from 5.30am - 2.00pm. The purpose of this job is to provide a safe and hygienic environment for the enjoyment of customers through compliance with current NZ Standards and relevant requirements for the Hawera Aquatic Centre. It will also maintain all appropriate standards and processes to ensure a safe and healthy environment, maintain high standards of facility presentation, cleanliness and water quality and assist with delivery of programmes and events.
In addition, this role involves all aspects of assisting in the work of a modern aquatic recreation centre and includes lifeguarding, cleaning, water testing, and some reception work.
Do you have what it takes? - This role requires commitment, attention to detail, the ability to learn new skills and a willingness to learn about our pool plants and basic water treatment. A current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate and previous experience in Aquatic Centre operations and programmes would be an advantage, however full on-job training will be provided for the right applicant. As the first person on shift for the day, you will handle any issues that may have occurred over night. Sound interesting?
