We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced, knowledgeable and competent leader who is keen to join our high-performing, collaborative leadership team and school as our new Deputy Principal (Teaching & Learning), preferably from the start of 2025. Greenmeadows Intermediate is an awesome school with a highly collegial staff who care deeply about providing the best educational experience for our students.
Our new Deputy Principal will be someone who:
has already had leadership experience and proven ability to effectively lead curriculum design, development, and implementation.
has strong research and evidence-based pedagogical practice and knowledge.
brings an understanding of cultural capabilities, culturally responsive practice, and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
is committed to equity and success for all students; has the knowledge and understanding necessary to oversee programmes and interventions to support learners with special education needs.
has excellent interpersonal skills, a great sense of humour; and the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and our community.
has experience with and understands the power of collaborative inquiry in improving outcomes for learners.
has high energy, enthusiasm for this age group, and is a hard worker.
has the ability to "act up" one day per week (higher duties allowance is paid), enabling the Principal to carry out her role as Lead Principal of the Alfriston Kahui Ako.
