We have significant growth and have an opportunity for an experienced LEAD BAKER/PASTRY CHEF to join our committed and professional team.
Someone who can bring their leadership, baking skills and energy to join our growing and expanding bakery production team, to do what we believe in and to love what you do.
What's the role?
On a day to day basis you will: Take ownership of the day to day operations of our bakery to ensure production goals are achieved Show proven leadership and have the ability and willingness to pass on knowledge to other team members adding value to a strong and happy environment.Work with our operations management to grow our teams capability.
Be hands on guiding team members, training, overseeing quality, improving processes and systems.
You will understand baking fundamentals and workings to solve issues and provide solutions.
Have strong knowledge of bakery and packaging workings and equipment.Be a great communicator who enjoys leading and working with a team.Build a strong and happy work culture where your team members want to perform every day.
You will have direct input into maintaining and improving all processes and systems.Have a creative flair when it comes to assisting with product development.What do I need to have?

Excellent English, both interpreting and comprehendingAttention to detail in a fast paced environmentAble to follow and add value to systems and processesHave a background in baking in a production environment.Have minimum 5 years previous food handling and bakery experienceOwnership of this roleOrganisational skills go without sayingStrong team management and leadership skills.
Maintain a high level of quality at all times.Understand and follow food safety procedures.You need to be professional, reliable, committed and trustworthy.Have the ability to work to deadlines and have a great eye for detail.
