Lead Architects & Experienced ArchitectsTitle: Lead Architects & Experienced Architects, Full-timeLocation: Kumeu, Auckland (On-site)Role OverviewAs Lead Architect or Experienced Architect at Nook Homes and Nook Living, your role stands at the very heart of our ambitious journey to expand our designs and continue to pioneer groundbreaking architectural solutions in modular architecture and help with the growth of Nook Living for selling ready-to-build plans for onsite construction.Nook Living is a new arm of Nook Homes where we will be selling our pre-designed plans to customers who can use their own local trusted builder for onsite construction.You will be a key member of our Head Office team, working very closely with our Founders on the direction of our architecture and design, upholding our core mission of 'Pioneering New Zealand Architecture', along with working on new designs for Nook Living.You will lead and inspire our team of architects and designers. You will be instrumental in the successful execution of our projects, delivering high-quality projects effectively helping our clients to achieve their dream home, contributing directly to helping Nook achieve their business goals. Over the next 2-5 years, the architectural team will be a part of spearheading Nook's designs as the business enters its next phase of exciting growth.Responsibilities:Complete all architectural work using Archi-CAD, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design processes.Act as the primary point of contact with district councils, managing the building consent process from submission to final approval.Communicate effectively with suppliers, including engineers, surveyors, and truss manufacturers.Provide accurate and timely progress updates to project managers and design team managers.Lead and inspire our team of architects and designers.Collaborate closely with project managers to address drawing amendments and promptly resolve construction-related issues.Generate detailed working drawings based on finalized concepts, adhering to industry standards and best practices.Prepare comprehensive documentation required for building consent submissions.Handle various administrative tasks, including developer approval applications and report documentation.Respond to requests for information from council authorities.Collaborate with engineers and industry professionals as necessary.Maintain clear communication with clients regarding documentation preparation timelines and project progress.Prepare documentation for building consent submissions, including specifications and supporting documentation.Accurately file documentation within Buildertrend.Contribute to wider business improvement, identifying areas for improvement.Capabilities:Proficiency in Archi-CAD for architectural design work.Strong project management skills.People leadership skills.Excellent communication and coordination abilities.Problem-solving skills to address construction and design issues promptly.Attention to detail in producing accurate and compliant working drawings and documentation.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.Adaptability to work effectively with engineers and industry professionals.Client-focused approach with clear communication and time management capabilities.Familiarity with key design tools and software used in the business.Qualifications:Registered Architect (LBP)Proficiency in Archi-CAD, BuildertrendReporting:Reports to - DirectorsAbove that - Founder
