About the Role Applicants need to have a passion to provide nutritious meals for the rehabilitating patients and be prepared to work in a busy and challenging environment.
About the Team Rhoda Read is a Continuing Care Facility at Morrinsville in the Waikato Region. As part of the Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service, Rhoda Read cares mostly for post-acute patients who have been inpatients at Waikato or Thames hospital and need time to recover prior to discharge home. Rhoda Read has a rehabilitative focus and cares for palliative patients at the end of their lives.
About you We are looking for someone who:
Has exceptional customer service experience preferably in the hospitality sector as you will be working with patients in a healthcare environment Can show care and empathy towards our patients Has a high standard of personal presentation as you will be the face of our service in the wards Is extremely reliable and with a great attendance record Has the ability to work unsupervised and within a team To be successful in this role you must have a current NZ work permit and be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English. Previous work experience related to the position would be an advantage. Preference will be given to those who have achieved related NZQA unit standards.
