We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills to join our 7 day a week dietary service team as a kitchen assistant. The roster will include weekend and public holidays.
Duties include food preparation, meal service, food and safety hygiene, and general kitchen duties.

To be considered for this role, you need:
Excellent physical fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands - including frequent standing, lifting, in a humid and busy environment.
Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner
Ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members
Reliability with an excellent attendance record
A current NZ driver's licence.
An understanding of hospital kitchen functions and previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage.

Thames Food Service provides around 60 meals 3 x per day to the:
Inpatient unit
Emergency department
Birthing Unit
Sperry Lane Café is open Monday to Friday for staff & public access to meals.
We also provide around 30 meals per day for 'Meals on Wheels' recipients.
