Mo tenei mahi (About this job)
We are seeking a Kaiwhakahaere Ako – Manager Educational Delivery to manage a team of kaiako whose portfolio will cover our pilot programmes within a designated takiwa.
As a Kaiwhakahaere Ako, you will offer strong leadership and management in tertiary education to motivate our Kaiako to provide top-notch educational experiences for tauira and stakeholders. Collaboration with our Kairuruku (National Programme Manager) and other key stakeholders is key to ensuring curriculum goals are met. Ability to travel across the takiwa is required.
This position oversees programme management and delivery of new programmes introduced to the takiwa. Some of the responsibilities include: teaching and delivery, monitoring kaiako and kaimahi performance, supporting the tauira recruitment process, establishing and maintaining enduring relationships ensuring accurate academic processes and procedures.
Mou (About you)
As a Kaiwhakahaere Ako, you will be proficient in leadership and management skills. You will bring with you a Bachelors Degree in Education, Management or Commerce and a Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5). Assessment and moderation standards (4098, 11281, 18203) or a New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice is preferred. Proficiency in Te Reo and Tikanga Maori is desirable.
You will be an exceptional leader with at least 5 years' experience in a tertiary education environment, and 5+ years' proven experience delivering quality education and teaching experience.
As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
