Kaitohu Matua, Haumitanga a-Rohe | Senior Regional Investment AdvisorTe Puni Rohe | RegionsTe Puni Kokiri | The Ministry of Maori DevelopmentTe Puni Kokiri (Ministry of Maori Development) is a government agency that works within government and communities to achieve our vision of Thriving Whanau.Te whai wahitanga | The opportunityWe are seeking three Senior Regional Investment Advisors across Aotearoa who will be based in our regional offices but report centrally to the Manager, Performance Support based in Te Tari Matua, Poneke | National Office, Wellington.This advertisement is for one of these positions where the successful candidate will work out of our Gisborne or Hastings tari.The Senior Regional Investment Advisor will support the successful delivery of our investment programmes across the motu. They will play a critical support role within our regional network. This role is primarily internal facing and will:Champion and promote the TPK investment strategy and support regional offices to connect their regional investment strategy.Take a business partner approach to understanding the context of the region and support regional staff with investment opportunities to ensure investment practice is maintained.Promote best practice funding and contracting processes and systems.Provide advice and support to regional staff on the parameters and requirements of investment programmes and initiatives.Provide quality assurance advice to Regional Directors across investments.Provide regional insights to the portfolio teams to support investment improvements.To be able to support the rohe, the Senior Regional Investment Advisor will need to understand the local landscape, as well as, from time to time participate in other Te Puni Kokiri regionally led mahi.The appointment range for this role is between $93,317 to $115,743 per annum, and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.In this role, you will report to the Manager, Performance Support. To be successful you will have:At least three years of senior level experience.An ability to identify, build and actively manage relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences.Comfort in working in a tikanga / kaupapa Maori environment; a degree of fluency in Te reo Maori is of benefit.Excellent communication skills and strong critical reasoning.An understanding of best practice contracting processes.An ability to promote and champion best practice contracting processes.Excellent communication skills - highly developed skills of persuasion and influence.An understanding of government and public sector processes.The ability to identify and manage risks and issues.Demonstrated capability in providing high-quality advice and recommendations.Numeracy and competency with spreadsheets and databases.A willingness and ability to travel regularly across the designated Te Puni Kokiri region.A relevant tertiary qualification.A clean full motor vehicle driver's licence.Tau e whai ai | What you will get in returnTe Puni Kokiri is a diverse and rewarding working environment full of passionate people focused on discovering solutions that will assist in serving our communities.
