This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Maori land everywhere.Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Maori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.He angitutanga: About the Role:Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington, the Kaitaki | Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the regional team performs and delivers the Trust administration duties and property management services required, to a high standard. The essence of this critical role is to contribute to the core values of Te Tumu Paeroa, living and breathing these, as a strong example to your team. Your day-to-day role will encourage the team to function at a high level, providing quality outputs, meeting and exceeding expectations in service delivery to clients, with the enhancement and protection of Whenua Maori always at the heart of what you do.The key responsibilities of this role include:Building and fostering a strong culture within your team that values the importance of adherence to policies, processes, and procedures and strives for continuous learning, development, and improvement.Provision of clear and concise instructions that promote the priorities and goals of Maori Trustee and Te Tumu Paeroa.Ensure your team are well trained and impediments impacting outcomes, deliverables, and targets are rectified.Contribute to annual planning processes for your team. Contribute to organization-wide planning processes, ensuring continuity of services across Te Tumu Paeroa.Ensure Learning and Development Plans are in place and managed effectively for your team.Provide expert advice and guidance associated with your team functions.Several years' experience in team leadership and people management.Ability to build, grow and continue to enhance a team culture, through the embodiment of the organisation's values and vision.Proven experience in managing team performance.Experience in team planning, setting goals, and targets.An ability to build relationships through open and clear communication, both verbal and written.Strong reporting and documentation skills.Good time management and organisational skills.An understanding of trust administration, and/or property, leases and tenancy operations would be a bonus.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.Pae Tahi - Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Maori (essential).Pae Tahi - No Ia Ra | An understanding and living of Tikanga Maori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential).This is an opportunity to join a supportive organisation that values work-life balance and career development.
