Job Description Our Infrastructure team are a key bunch of technology specialists.
We have modernised and moved our technology into the Cloud and our focus is managing and enhancing our technology to create specialist knowledge and opportunities across all things from Microsoft M365 to Azure, networking and mobility.
Their mahi ensures that Z's processes, and systems work as they should when our people and customers need them.
Due to some internal movements, we are excited to welcome a Kaitaki Tuahanga Infrastructure Manager to Z. Tasked with leading both our infrastructure team and practice, you will work closely with various Digital teams and external partners to drive innovations and improvements in technology for Z.
We're looking for someone who has experience bringing a DevOps lens to Infrastructure.
Ideally you are someone who is proactive in building relationships across the business and are comfortable championing a 'shift left' approach when it comes to leading the infrastructure team in making changes.
Equally important in the role will be guiding, mentoring and coaching a team of Cloud Solutions Architects, Engineers and Digital Experience Specialists.

You will have the opportunity to Work in a fully cloud based environment Lead a team of technical experts, providing coaching, guidance and development Work to ensure availability, reliability, recoverability and observability for our critical systems Take ownership of key external partnerships and corresponding budgets Own Z's approach to Infrastructure Service Management Work closely with our Information Security, Data and DevOps teams to ensure our platforms operational and effective, including end user compute and authentication.
Develop and maintain roadmaps for our technology and systems Working with squads to advise on and build the infrastructure needed for Z's strategic initiatives Qualifications What you'll bring to Z Sound knowledge of system selection, management and roll out Demonstrated experience in managing business infrastructure at scale, and an understanding of organisational needs in a complex commercial environment Experience migrating/consolidating/decommissioning existing systems, with the end user in mind.
Experience and oversight of the impacts of infrastructure and business application changes, and an empathetic approach to change management Demonstrated people leadership skills, with experience leading team through technical/organisational change Strong communication skills across a range of levels and to technical and non-technical audiences A love of technology, an understanding of its impact with a business and the desire to keep in front of new developments The ability to influence others, build effective relationships and engage with a range of stakeholders And of course, you'll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand.
