What is it like to be a Kaiarataki Mahere Whaikaha | Disability Action Lead at UC? This role will guide the ongoing review and successful implementation of UC's Disability Action Plan (DAP). You will enact UC's values and align with our institution-wide equity approach as you connect with key staff across the organisation to lead change and influence commitment whilst working alongside disabled students and staff to ensure the work aligns with their needs.
We are a large and complex organisation, so no two days are the same! By building trusted relationships, you will engage pan-University stakeholders to address institutional, structural, and cultural barriers that prevent disabled learners from achieving their academic goals and participating fully in university life.
This role will challenge you in a diverse and ever-changing environment. Surrounded and supported by a great team, you can hone your strategic project management skills and have the opportunity to work with diverse teams pivotal in effecting inclusive and accessible education for all our akonga | students.
