Te Timatatanga o Te Matauranga operates as an All-Year Model.
Teaching staff benefit from 30 days Annual Leave and 15 Professional Time days per year along with 4 non-contact hours per week in this part-time position.

If you are a qualified and registered ECE teacher or in your third year of study for an ECE qualification, are skilled in establishing and maintaining authentic and professional relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues, are self-motivated, show initiative, and are able to work collaboratively, we would love to hear from you.
Te Timatatanga o Te Matauranga has 3.5 teachers, a part-time administrator, and a cook.
This kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for 30 children between two and six years of age.
Te Timatatanga o Te Matauranga Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA.
The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team.
NKA adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers, and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023-2026.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE).
Current practicing certificate.
First aid certificate.
