We work in partnership with other funding teams to achieve successful science outcomes for New Zealand.
We have two fixed-term or secondment vacancies.
For the 4-month fixed term or secondment role, we are looking for someone with great attention to detail and experience in using business applications to assist with contract data verification and other tasks.
What we can offer you is the opportunity to learn about science funding contracts and processes.
For the 12-month fixed-term or secondment role, you will work with the team on the timeline planning and coordination of funding rounds across a range of MBIE's science investment portfolios, and provide specialised business support for funding processes and contract administration.
We work collaboratively with a team of people across the organisation to ensure that science funding rounds are planned, coordinated and delivered, while following the best practice for funding and contracting.

Skills and Experience Required We are keen to hear from you if you have:
Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Experience in learning and using complex systems.
Previous relevant technical experience is beneficial.A proven track record of experience in project planning and coordination and business processing support.
Experience in government processes, and funding operation and contracting areas is desirable.
(for the 12-month fixed term or secondment role)Demonstrated experience in relationship management and collaboration skills, able to manage positive relationships with people at all levels in the organisation.Strong organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.A pro-active, solutions-focused work style with a strong customer service focus and delivery.Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.Must have legal right to live and work in New Zealand.MBIE's goal is to create a resilient and high-performing economy that delivers real and ongoing quality of life for all New Zealanders.
