MO TENEI TURANGA MAHI - ABOUT THE ROLE

Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa (formerly Family Planning) are looking for an International Programmes Manager to lead our International Programmes Team. This is a full-time position based in our National Office in Wellington. The role is 40 hours per week to be worked across Monday to Friday. This role requires travel to the Pacific, including some remote locations and developing regions.

We are looking for a passionate, informed and knowledgeable leader who can demonstrate an understanding of the complexities development work entails. You will have the capability to work cross-culturally to connect with and nurture relations with stakeholders, donors and our partners in the Pacific and across Aotearoa to improve access to sexual and reproductive health information and services through locally driven projects, research and advocacy.

You will be experienced working in the international development sector and managing international development projects. You will have sound judgement and critical thinking skills in order to establish and manage project work in the international programmes unit.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

Experience implementing international development projects (preferably in the Pacific).

Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Extensive experience in donor-liaison, proposal writing and budget management.

Writing and analytical skills.

Leadership capabilities and refined interpersonal skills.

While not essential, a relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.

Knowledge of Pacific language(s) is welcomed.
