Internal Hobbit Hole Custodian/Cleaner - Bagshot Hobbiton Movie Set Tours – Matamata, North Island

We are searching for a Bagshot Custodian to join our team at Dusty Haven and be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the interior hobbit hole experience.
This role is full-time shift work with shift start times ranging from 6am and finishing as late as 8.30pm, we do 9.5hr days, 5 days a week including weekends.
As this is a scaled hobbit hole, some of our doorways and beams are 1.7m /5'5" and lower.
Main duties for the Bagshot Row Custodian include:
Daily cleaning and upkeep of the interior hobbit holes, involving vacuuming, mopping, and dusting. This also includes fine detailing work.
Finding lost/moved items and fixing broken items under the direction of the Lead Bagshot Custodian or Set Decorator.
Clean, light, and monitor two open fireplaces. This includes carrying firewood to reload our in-house firewood storage.
Stage and refresh interactive elements as needed.
Keep floors clean between tours.
Carry visitor umbrellas from the entrance to the exit of the Bagshot Experience.
Liaise with other departments to facilitate a seamless guest experience.
Undertake other tasks as allocated by the Lead Bagshot Custodian and Set Decorator.
A crafty hobby is also a bonus.
In order to be successful, you will need to have the following key attributes:
Fantastic work ethic, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Ability to work in all weather and temperature conditions.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Ability to prioritise and manage time well.
Keen to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
A full clean driver's license and reliable transport is a must due to our rural location.
Mid-December 2024 and mid-January 2025 starts are available. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as training specific to the role will be provided. We do, however, require a minimum commitment of 6 months.
Since we are located slightly off the beaten track, daily staff lunches are also provided.
