Intermediate Designer - Maternity Cover 12 month contractWe are seeking a talented and experienced Intermediate Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team at Trilogy, one of New Zealand's leading beauty brands. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Trilogy's creative evolution while elevating your design career. You will work directly with the Senior Designer and Marketing team to shape the brand's visual identity across print, digital, and large format.The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in an in-house or agency environment, with a strong background in digital marketing, video editing, and large format printing rollouts. You'll bring your passion for innovative design and proficiency in both digital and print, overseeing key elements of the Trilogy brand from concept to execution. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior designers and take a lead role in packaging design, campaigns, and digital experiences.This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week) based in Britomart, Auckland, where you will manage a wide variety of tasks, playing a key role in Trilogy's creative projects across local and international markets.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with the Senior Designer and Marketing team to create high-quality designs for print and digital assets.Lead on packaging design, ensuring brand consistency and innovation across product ranges.Oversee the design and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including web banners, social media content, mobile landing pages, and eDMs.Manage video editing tasks for digital campaigns, providing engaging and on-brand video content for various platforms.Oversee the production of large format print rollouts, ensuring brand cohesion across point-of-sale (POS) displays, trade show booths, and retail spaces.Take ownership of packaging updates, ensuring consistent visual identity across all product lines.Translate creative concepts into polished, adaptable designs for print, retail, and editorial, ensuring attention to detail in every stage.Ensure pre-press production and final artwork are of the highest standard, liaising with external suppliers and printers.Maintain and manage asset libraries, including global updates and accessibility for all markets.Mentor and guide junior designers, providing technical advice and creative direction.Handle server management, ensuring organised filing and archiving of design projects.KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED3-5 years' experience in graphic design, with expertise in digital and print design.Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, or a similar qualification.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), with advanced skills in After Effects and video editing.Strong background in digital marketing and experience in executing campaigns across multiple digital platforms.Proven experience in large format print rollouts, with an understanding of technical requirements and quality control.Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Experience in the beauty or lifestyle industries is a major plus.A strong portfolio showcasing your versatility and creativity.
