Enable child wellbeing and tamariki ora through injury prevention partnershipsSupport the delivery of ACC's Strategy - Huakina Te RaPermanent opportunity based in Wellington or AucklandReducing injuries is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve lives every day. With ACC's Injury Prevention team, you'll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injuries to tamariki and children. We're looking for a highly motivated person who is ready to make a positive difference to ensure children and tamariki can grow up, play and live in safe and inclusive environments.

Mo te turanga mahi | About the role As our Injury Prevention Partner, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing partnerships and opportunities to help us achieve these goals. This role is less about delivering programmes, and more about creating the conditions for our partners to be successful in their work, and demonstrating this value to ACC. You will be using your positive influence internally and externally through contributions to cross government collaborations, creating and leveraging opportunities, relational commissioning and being accountable to our investments. You will have child wellbeing and tamariki ora expertise to guide policies, demonstrate child-injury related leadership to enable the short- and long-term goals of ACC strategies such as Huakina Te Ra and Manini Tua (our Strategic Investment Theory of Change).

Key accountabilities and outcomes The ongoing development, success and demonstration of child injury prevention and primary prevention work programmes, investments, and partnerships.Contributions to equity, Te Tiriti-led practices and learning approaches in government settings, and ongoing development.Proven experience in government commissioning and procurement. Relationship manage and monitor programmes and share learnings and outputs against mutually agreed KPIs and performance targets, including contracting for outcomes with partners.Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi / Treaty of Waitangi and demonstration of ways of working in matauranga Maori-led ways, contributing to Te Tiriti-led practice at ACC.Proven experience in building trusted partnerships to enable communities, systems level change/design and/or primary prevention, preferably within a child wellbeing and tamariki ora and/or child injury prevention context.Strong interpersonal and communication skills which mean you are experienced at navigating complex relationships and have a deep kete of skills to bring to this work both within ACC and with our partners.Ongoing commitment to influence and navigate internal relationships successfully and develop new ways of working with community partners and translate learning and progress as required.Ability to enable relational practices of funding and commissioning built on mutual respect and shared power, responsive to whanau and hapori needs for long term.Be solutions-orientated with commitment to relentless learning and demonstration of equity, allyship, anti-racism and decolonisation practices.We are a supportive and ambitious team, engaging in innovative mahi that is both tough and rewarding.
