Te aheinga - The opportunity
Are you passionate about libraries and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team as the Community Library Supervisor at Inglewood Library. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of the library and the Council Service Centre, ensuring high-quality services for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing information and reference services for staff and customers
Maintaining and managing physical collections
Connecting with the wider library and Cultural Experiences team
Participating and supporting the team in the development and delivery of public library programming for all ages
Developing and sharing knowledge in areas including technology and digital
Handling Council based transactions such as rates, parking, licence and debtor payments, dog registrations, building and LIM applications and property enquiries
Responsible for staff administration activities
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Minimum Requirements:
Library qualifications preferred
Customer service experience and enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of customers
Five years' experience working in libraries
Full driver's licence
Systems and database experience
Ability to enhance and promote the library and its services to the community
Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of digital resources
Ability to engage with current and future library trends
Ability to run public programme sessions including pre-school story times through to digital programming
Ability to handle Council service centre responsibilities

You can expect to start in this permanent 37 hour per week role with us between $75,675 and $81,560 pro-rata.
