Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:Financial Management: Assisting with budget tracking, expense reporting, and financial documentation to support the group's fiscal responsibilities.Diary Management: Coordinating schedules, arranging appointments, and managing calendars to optimize time and productivity for team members.Meeting and Workshop Support: Organising and facilitating meetings and workshops, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring all logistical details are handled.Information Management: Maintaining and organising records, databases, and documentation to ensure easy access and retrieval of information.General Support: Providing a range of administrative assistance across the group, addressing ad-hoc requests, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.We're seeking a candidate who brings:NZQA Qualification or Administrative Experience: Demonstrated expertise in administrative tasks or relevant qualifications.High Level of Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Precision in handling tasks and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.Effective Communication Skills: Proficiency in interacting with various departments and external organisations, including clients, suppliers, and regulators.Independent and Team Work Abilities: Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.Strong Organisational Skills: Excellent ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently.Collaboration and Communication Proficiency: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Knowledge of Tikanga Maori: Understanding and appreciation of Maori customs and practices is highly desirable.Progressive Mindset: Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.Relationship Building Skills: Ability to establish and maintain strong, positive relationships.Far North District Council are proud of our diverse workforce and are committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
