The Far North District Council is seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to join our Infrastructure Group.
Te Wero - The Challenge This role will take charge of the comprehensive management, implementation, execution, control, and completion of FNDC capital works projects.
Ensure these projects align with the Council's strategies, annual and long-term plan commitments, goals, and contractual obligations.
Your role will be pivotal in maintaining consistency and achieving the Council's vision for infrastructure development.
This position reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure and is based in Kaikohe.
The role is pivotal in providing regular updates and insights to support strategic decision-making in the Infrastructure Group.
The ideal candidate will possess: A qualification in project management or equivalent 7 years of relevant experience Familiarity with NZ Standards of Contract 3910, 3916, 3917 Proficiency in project management methodologies A strong grasp of the strategic direction, structure, and issues affecting the organisation The ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues Excellent verbal and written communication skills A commitment to high-quality work and meeting deadlines Teamwork skills, including energy, vision, and initiative Strong time management and organisational skills Far North District Council is proud of our diverse workforce and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.

The salary for this position is Grade 22 within Council's salary structure, plus Kiwi Saver.
