About the Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our high-performing Operational Technology Infrastructure team within Fonterra IT. This team supports OT network & system infrastructure, ensuring high availability, stability, and security of our automation infrastructure across Fonterra's manufacturing plants, globally.
As our Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will:
Provide consistent, high-quality business as usual (BAU) support and engineering services to ensure infrastructure uptime regarding stability & security.
Handle initial triage & support for both network and system break/fix events, service requests, and other standard moves, adds & changes to support our stakeholders.
Timely escalate issues to the wider engineering team to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained.
Manage monitoring & preventative maintenance tasks for our manufacturing environment.
About You
You will have a few years' experience in IT systems and/or network infrastructure roles, ideally in a large enterprise. You will have a passion for adopting emerging technologies and an appetite for continuous learning. You will also have excellent communication and relationship management skills and be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Other attributes that may help you succeed in this role include:
Tertiary qualification in computer science, IT or similar discipline.
Qualifications (e.g., VCP or CCNA) or equivalent experience in IT Systems and/or Network Infrastructure.
Experience in OT or manufacturing environment/automation desirable but not essential.
Ability to work autonomously in a troubleshooting role and solve complex problems.
