To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Diagnose faults, assess the repair requirements and advise customers accordingly
Contact customers to provide estimated repair cost and time frame
Installation and maintenance of system software, hardware and or electronic components.
Set up system security and perform virus or malware removal.
Troubleshoot desktop computer systems, laptops, gaming PCs, and electronic equipment.
Repair devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, iPads, and iPods.
Replace required components for devices.
Soldering and resoldering of components.
Computer and electronic equipment maintenance and replacement.
Ensure optimum output of devices and apps.
Adjust, replace, and repair faulty components using multimeter, soldering iron, and hot air gun.
Ensure that all repair and testing tools and appliances are in proper working condition.
Input and maintain network IP addresses.
Configure wireless routers, modems, and network security.
Maintain and troubleshoot computer networks.
Interact with customers and other organizations to answer any queries regarding hardware and software issues and provide solutions.
Skills Needed:
A candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of background experience in the electronics industry.
Excellent technical understanding and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work on a flexible roster, including public holidays and weekends.
Take ownership of issues with determination to see them through to resolution; hands-on approach and a willingness to learn.
A passion for excellence in customer service; applicants must have a valid driving license as the job requires traveling to different locations and customers within Auckland.
Ability to work in a team or individually based on the needs.
