We are currently seeking an exceptional HR Advisor to join our passionate team. The Horizon Energy Group owns and operates an electrical contracting and infrastructure construction business, in multiple locations, and a nationwide heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration construction and servicing business, and also operates in the South Pacific. You will join a focused, friendly and supportive team of professionals committed to being successful through continuous improvement. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will work within the People & Culture team to: Partner with multiple business units and senior managers to provide trusted HR advice and solutions. Support the HR Manager in all people and HR related activities - performance reviews, remuneration reviews, reporting and analytics, HRIS management and other HR initiatives. Manage and resolve ER matters for the Group - carry out and support disciplinary processes, formal performance improvement, medical incapacity, change and restructuring processes - we are seeking an individual that is comprehensively experienced in this area and is able to independently manage these processes. Provide support to the People & Culture team as an active member. Proactively identify improvement areas and develop and design new policies and procedures. Strive to understand the business, its people and the way it operates. Provide a professional and end to end detailed service to the business in such a way that they trust you in your opinion and guidance. Undertake project work to assist with the improvement and development of the HR service delivery, and HR initiatives. What You'll Bring to the Table: Minimum 5 years' previous experience in HR Advisor role. Experience in developing and maintaining an efficient and effective HRIS. Ability to deal with a wide range of people and establish effective working relationships with managers and staff. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to produce high quality correspondence and documents. Strong word processing skills including use of Microsoft Office suite, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel. Self-starter, well organised and able to prioritise effectively in order to maintain high service level standards. Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand Employment Legislation and best practice. Comprehensive experience managing ER matters, disciplinary processes, investigations, formal performance management independently. Ability to coach, providing guidance and advice to managers and staff at all levels.
