Position Summary:The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of HR strategies, policies, and plans to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves advising and assisting management with recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring that HR practices align with the company's goals and regulatory requirements.
HR Strategy and Policy Management:
Develop, implement, and evaluate human resource management strategies, policies, and plans to meet the needs of our manufacturing operations.
Continuously review and refine HR strategies to align with business objectives and industry best practices.
Recruitment and Selection:
Advise and support managers in applying effective recruitment and selection practices.
Oversee the development and execution of induction, training, and development programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated and existing employees are continuously developed.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management systems to plan, assess, and enhance individual and team performance.
Conduct performance reviews and support managers in setting performance goals and providing constructive feedback.
Employee Relations and Negotiations:
Represent the organization in negotiations with unions and employees regarding remuneration and employment conditions.
Address and resolve employee grievances and issues to maintain a positive work environment.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
Develop and enforce occupational health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Implement and manage equal employment opportunity programs to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Redundancy and Retrenchment:
Oversee the application of redundancy and other employee retrenchment policies, ensuring fair and legal processes.
Manage the communication and implementation of such policies as necessary.
Cost and Productivity Monitoring:
Monitor employment costs and productivity levels to ensure alignment with budgetary and operational goals.
Analyze data and provide recommendations for improving cost-efficiency and productivity.
Training and Advisory:
Provide training and advice to other managers on personnel and workplace relations matters.
Facilitate workshops and sessions to enhance managerial skills and knowledge in HR-related areas.
