Details of the offer

Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) Contract/Temp For over three decades, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) New Zealand has been a 'home-away-from-home' for Kiwi families who need somewhere to stay when their child is hospitalised. The Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room programmes offer free accommodation and support, taking care of the practical things in life so families can focus on what matters most - each other. In 2023, we provided our service to over 4,400 families - a record year for our organisation.
The Opportunity: In this full-time 12-month contract, you will work alongside the People and Culture Partner on our 'Prioritising Our People' strategic pillar. This is an all-encompassing role which will see you build strong relationships within the team whilst focusing on recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, cyclical people processes and support on employment relations. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to lead and participate in HR projects from time to time.
About you: To excel in the role, you will need the following:
2 years as an HR advisor or coordinator, gained within a fast-paced environment. Experience of the whole employee lifecycle and understanding of HR processes and NZ employment law. HRIS experience, ideally with Employment Hero knowledge. Exceptional communication and people skills. Outstanding organisational skills and high level of attention to detail. Problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset. Relevant tertiary qualification in HR preferred. What's on Offer: At RMHC New Zealand we listen, we care, we provide, and we act with compassion to make a world of difference in someone's day – and yours. Join a team that is passionate about keeping families close, in a work environment that is rewarding, fun, family-friendly and inspiring.
This is a Monday to Friday role, 40 hours a week with the option to WFH one day a week. The other four days are worked out of our head office in Grafton.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
COVID-19 Vaccination: To maintain a safe and healthy work and accommodation environment and minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission, RMHC New Zealand recommends that all employees and volunteers are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Applicants will be required to complete a satisfactory NZ Police Vetting application to meet child protection requirements.
If you're a passionate HR professional who has built trusted relationships and you match our requirements, please send us your CV and cover letter today. The advert will close when we have filled the vacancy.
