About Us
At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.
About the role
As the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the housekeeping team completing tasks according to stated procedures. You will also:
Be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleaning throughout the hospital.
Maintain and order housekeeping stores.
Organise staff allocation when staff are absent, covering 7 days.
Complete environmental audits according to policies and feedback results.
Oversee the orientation of all new staff.
This is a permanent position for 80 hours per fortnight and is located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
As the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will be able to use initiative and think outside the box. You will also maintain a high standard of personal appearance and have the following skills and experiences:
Experience in managing a cleaning team.
NZQA Certificate in cleaning (Level 3) good to have, not necessary.
The ability to work well in a team.
Effective communication skills.
An ability to form professional working relationships with a wide range of people.
