Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
Full time
$43.51/hr + super + generous salary pckg
The rate for this role is $43.51 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, with generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per year, mileage reimbursement and travel opportunities. This is an ongoing employment opportunity – we want to commit to you when you commit to us.
We have positions across half of regional Victoria - from Gisborne to Mildura, Ballarat to the Grampians and Warrnambool to Geelong.
We love to welcome team members who have a range of interests and so we are open to a four-day working week.
We love people who speak more than one language – especially when this represents your community in your local area!
What is the role? Here is a typical week.
Picture yourself travelling to a client's home, learning about how they live and supporting them through identifying strategies and supports to maintain their independence as they age. Now picture doing this multiple times a day, each day of the week – and the impact you will have on each person's life.
Your warm personality, existing skills and experiences, complemented by extensive training and support enable you to convert your client interactions into meaningful support plans documented using digital tools as guided by ACNA's Active Assessment method.
You connect with clients again through the support plan review process. This is where a client calls ACNA as their needs have changed and you will determine the right pathway for them over the phone.
You love driving. The reality of our role in the community is that we spend a lot of time driving between clients and listening to many podcasts, audio books and music.
If you love diversity in your work, you can work in other programs in ACNA such as Residents' Experience Surveys in aged care…yes, we have lots of programs and lots of opportunities for you!
You enjoy the sense of belonging and support that comes from being part of a team with a dedicated Team Leader, whilst benefiting from our national 'teams of teams' approach.
Dip into learning experiences and team experiences to expand your knowledge, networks and career.
Help us to challenge the status quo and look for ways to make an even bigger impact.
Who are we looking for? You are a great communicator, a client-focused professional and ready to spend your days conducting assessments to identify the needs of an older person.
People will have called you all sorts of different names. Authentic. Fun. Genuine. Brilliant. Approachable. A little bit cheeky. Helpful. Caring. Lovely. Relentless.
In your spare time we're likely to find you daydreaming about new ways to create an impact on people's lives.
Sound interesting? Ready to Apply? Well good news, we have made it easy! Once we receive your application we will contact you about the next stages of the process – usually within a week but it could be faster! Our recruitment process is a little different to most. We use lots of activities to give you an opportunity to understand how we work and your typical day. We start to get to know you through your application, then we move into group video discussions (GVDs) and end the process with a few hours of activities so you can show us what you are made of.
