Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy 1.0 FTE
The role is based in Gisborne Hospital and the community.
The Occupational Therapy service runs from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Open to part-time and full-time hours.
Offering a permanent contract.
About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work in our Occupational Therapy team.
This position is rotational and based in the community and on the hospital wards (medical, surgical, orthopaedic, rehab) where you will be working with people of all ages with physical disabilities and long-term illness to participate in their daily occupations.

The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn about wheelchair and seating assessments, pressure care intervention, cognitive assessments, and housing modification assessments.
Minimum Requirements
Successful applicants must be registered with the OT Board of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate. They must also hold a current, clean, and full driver's licence. Overseas applicants can be considered providing they are eligible for OT Board registration.

Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly in healthcare settings.
