Skiing, mountain biking, tramping and camping are all on the doorstep. We are searching for an agentic, aspiring, visionary head of department who can lead and inspire staff and students. The position includes teaching junior and senior English, and being part of a team that drives lifting the literacy capability for all our students. The successful candidate will have: strong pedagogical practice and a genuine passion for teaching relational, student-centred and culturally responsive practice a clear understanding of NCEA ability to lead and work collaboratively with others to raise student achievement experience at differentiating both junior and senior programmes excellent interpersonal and organisational skills Involvement in an extracurricular activity is an expectation.
