Health & Safety Business Partner

My client is a market leading logistics provider with ambitious growth plans.
They have an immediate need for a Health and Safety contractor to assist them through a pressurised period.
Broadly speaking the purpose of this role is to ensure the Health and Safety culture and focus is foremost across the business.
On a day to day basis you will be -  assisting the H & S Manager to implement the OHS Strategic planproviding advice to front line managers and employeesidentify gaps in the existing OHS policy and assist in closing theseensure all employees are informed of hazards & risks, relevant control measures and emergency proceduresensuring compliance of OHS is met at all timesundertaking workplace inspections, audits & risk assessments You will need to be well versed in NZ OHS legislation, ideally with previous exposure to logistics, transport or warehousing operations.
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following -  relevant Workplace Health & Safety qualifications5 + years previous experience in a OHS advisory roleability to undertake H & S inspections, audits & risk assessmentsexcellent communication & collaboration skillsexcellent knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015excellent analytical, research and interpretive skillsproven experience in a multi-site operationexperience in a highly safety focussed industry with manual processes & people risks Initially commencing as a 3 month temp role / contract, it may well go longer and has definite potential to become permanent.
