MercyAscot is New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres across three sites including a brand new wing under construction at Mercy Hospital in Epsom and Mercy Radiology is an industry-leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, with locations throughout greater Auckland.
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to provide inclusive Health & Safety advice across our hospitals and radiology sites. Reporting to our Health and Safety Manager this role brings the opportunity to partner with our managers and interact with employees at all levels of the business and will suit someone who enjoys giving evidence-based advice and looking for a role that can truly allows you to make a difference.

Promote Health & Safety (H&S) practices that meet NZ legislative requirements and standards
Assist with general H&S queries, incident reports & audits
Contribute towards the development and implementation of H&S policies, procedures, guidelines and initiatives
Assist with staff orientation, Health & Safety representative and manager training
Organise and facilitate H&S meetings and programmes
Maintain and update information resources
Nga korero mou | About you
Recognised qualification in Health & Safety e.g. NEBOSH Certificate/International Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience in a Health & Safety advisory role, preferably within a Healthcare environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to challenge the status quo and influence where necessary
Ability to problem-solve and use initiative
Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
Full New Zealand driving licence
