Health and Safety Advisor Counties Manuk Auckland - Auckland New Zealand Government New Zealand Police is working with the community to make New Zealanders be safe and feel safe.

Mo te tunga About the role This role is responsible for providing advice and guidance on Health and Safety issues in Counties-Manukau District to ensure our people can Be Safe and Feel Safe.
The Health and Safety Advisor is a key partner helping New Zealand Police to identify and manage risks and provide support to local leaders on Health and Safety issues.
These range from providing risk management advice on planned operations, supporting critical risk processes, and enabling our people for safer outcomes together.
Key Accountabilities: Creating partnerships and working collaboratively to understand hazards in the work area and enabling leaders to eliminate or minimise risk.
Building and maintaining positive relationships across a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.
Promoting district and service centre consistency and excellence in H&S systems and policies in line with national guidelines.
Supporting and enabling our people across the district to continuously improve performance and reduce risk.
Supporting to the Critical Risk Verification Programme.

Working as a H&S specialist in an organisation.
The ability to build and maintain positive relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
The desire to contribute to continuously improving Police systems.
Experience and/or qualifications in Health and Safety or a related field.
This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business.
Utu a-tau Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
