About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Head of Subject: Drama to join our dynamic Performing Arts Faculty.
This full-time, permanent position requires a candidate with a passion for Drama and the ability to teach the subject, primarily focusing on Years 7-13.
A strong understanding of NCEA is essential.
A willingness to develop the IB Theatre Arts programme is an advantage.
The successful applicant will possess strong leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and lead a small team of teachers.
They will also have the ability to direct large-scale productions.
Key Responsibilities and Skills: Experience in teaching Drama to students, with a primary focus on Years 7-13.
Strong understanding of NCEA and a willingness to develop the IB Theatre Arts programme.
Ability to teach Drama to Scholarship level.
Lead both the Drama Curriculum and the Co-Curricular Drama programmes.
Stay updated with current educational practices in Drama education.
Inspire and lead a team of Drama teachers.
Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best learning opportunities for students.
