This newly created critical leadership role will oversee all aspects of microbial fermentation, focusing on bacterial and fungal research, cultivation, and preservation. You will manage bioreactor operations, solid-state fermentation, and research projects to drive product development and innovation at Cellora. This position will contribute strongly to Cellora's strategic thinking and is integral to shaping the future of our innovative product pipeline.Key Responsibilities:Lead ground-breaking bacterial and fungal research, including determination of microbial growth kinetics and optimisation for innovative fermentation production methodologies.Manage bioreactor operations and solid-state fermentation including development of standardized processes and quality assurance.Maintain our growing entomopathogenic microbial strain bank, ensuring secure storage and tracking of strains.Develop, nurture and grow partnerships with our external partners to ensure Cellora continuously improves and incorporates leading edge technologies and practices into our strategic thinking and R&D.Manage key R&D projects with a firm grip on focus and speed to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and commercialisation.Qualifications and Experience:Master's or PhD in Microbiology or Microbial Fermentation Specialty.10+ years experience in microbiology and fermentation technology, including bioreactor operations.Demonstrated leadership experience or a desire to grow as a leader.Experience in R&D and commercialization.Excellent project management, data analysis, and scientific communication skills.It will help if you are a lean thinking convert like the rest of us!Personal Attributes:Purpose-driven and proactive.Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Adaptable and able to meet deadlines.Embraces continuous learning and improvement.Confident in presentation and networking skills.Prepared to roll your sleeves up, lead and take a leap!Why Join Us?At Cellora, you will be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to sustainable innovation in agriculture.
