Purpose driven mission
Play a key role in uniting communities to overcome poverty and injustice
Thorndon, Wellington Offices
Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand (CANZ) is the Catholic Bishops' agency for justice, peace and development. We work in partnership and solidarity with communities throughout the world to promote human dignity and the common good. Our work of hope tackles both the causes and effects of poverty and injustice and responds swiftly to human and natural disasters. We promote advocacy and education for justice in New Zealand and Oceania, and we play an integral part in the worldwide Caritas network of over 160 relief, development, and social service organisations.

The Head of Justice and Peace will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and operational plans that raise awareness of social issues and encourage action on societal issues as they relate to justice and peace through advocacy, education and tangata whenua partnerships.
