King's College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Cricket to lead and develop our Cricket programme from January 2025. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of Cricket at the College, overseeing all levels from Junior teams through to the 1st XI, and delivering a high-quality experience for students, coaches, and the wider College community.Key Responsibilities:Programme Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the Cricket programme, ensuring smooth operation, and fostering player development across all levels.Player & Coach Development: Design and implement a structured coaching framework that ensures skill progression from Junior levels to the 1st XI. Lead a "Coach the Coaches" programme and provide resources to support coaching excellence.Coaching & Training: Collaborate with the Head of Strength and Conditioning to ensure players are prepared for all levels of competition, including pre-season, in-season, and off-season programmes.Community & Engagement: Enhance the profile of Cricket within the College by engaging with local clubs, facilitating development opportunities, and organizing key events such as inter-house competitions, prize-givings, and pre-season tours.Administration & Reporting: Coordinate team trials, manage logistics, communicate with stakeholders, and provide regular updates on the progress and outcomes of the programme.Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Cricket and experience developing Cricket programmes within an educational environment. They should possess a passion for fostering talent, exceptional leadership abilities, and strong organizational skills.Qualifications:Minimum Requirement: NZ Cricket Advanced Development CoursePreferred: NZ Cricket Performance Coach Level (Advanced Performance Course or Performance Coach Program)Experience: Working with major associations or district teams at various youth and senior levels (e.g., Major Association U14/U15, Secondary School First XI, Premier Club).Requirements: Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and will be subject to vetting under the Vulnerable Children Act.Equal Opportunity Employer: King's College is an equal opportunity employer.
