Position: Guidewire Tester (12 months - Contract)Location: Auckland, Hybrid (Onsite 3 days per week)Start Date: ASAPObjectiveAre you detail-oriented and passionate about delivering quality, scalable testing solutions? We're looking for a Guidewire Tester to join an exceptional team of engineers. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the resilience and reliability of the core technology solutions. As a member of an innovative team, you'll help shape digital experiences that provide fast, secure, and seamless solutions for both customers and the business.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement thorough test strategies to validate solutions across the Guidewire suite.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Analysts, Developers, and Architects, to ensure quality at each project phase.Collaborate on data migration efforts, ensuring smooth and accurate transfer of legacy data to the Guidewire system, minimizing disruption and maximizing data integrity.Lead and establish testing best practices, optimizing strategies for high-quality results.Build automated tests for continuous integration, test data creation, regression testing, and performance assessments.Expand our test automation framework to support a smooth continuous delivery pipeline.Engage with stakeholders, providing updates on testing activities, issues, and progress to maintain transparency.Key Skills and ExperienceExtensive experience in Guidewire testing, with strengths in context-based and risk-based testing for complex business applications.Proficiency with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and automation tools like Selenium and Capybara for UI testing.Strong programming skills in Ruby and Java.Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).Ability to document test plans, workflows, and technical designs aligned with functional requirements.Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach and keen attention to detail.Prior experience in the insurance industry is a plus.About YouWe're seeking a proactive tester who combines disciplined testing practices with a forward-looking approach.
